SARAH, JOSEPHINE AND ELIZABETH

My name is Sarah and my twin sisters are Josephine and Elizabeth. Our mother died in the year 2011. I was then in Standard 6 while my sisters were in Standard 5. Our father did not have a source of income. Being the eldest I had to struggle and do odd jobs to get food for myself and my siblings. At some point, we all dropped out of school for two years as a result of lacking school fees and other basic necessities.

Fortunately, a woman in our local church had heard about Minto Children’s Home. She requested her to take us in and this has been our new home ever since.

I graduated last year with a Certificate in Bakery from the Nairobi College of Bread and Confectionery Technology. I am currently looking for an opportunity to practice my baking skills.

Josephine and Elizabeth sat for their KCPE in 2016 but did not perform very well. They need financial assistance to be able to take up short courses that would enable them to make a life for themselves.

We are grateful to Mama Susan for what she has done for us and others who are needy.
