Our Success Stories span for many years and has real changed our girls’ lives and way of thinking. We also engage the girls in knitting and doing other activities that are gainfully to their future lives.
Eliud Otieno Odhiambo
One of the beneficiaries of Minto Children’s home. He came from Mombasa after his standard 8 examinations hoping to be assisted by his brother to continue with his studies. Unfortunately his dream was cut off when he realized that his brother did not have the finances to support him. He look to the street to make a living for himself and soon after Mrs. Ochwangi came to his aid and took him to the children’s home which was by then handling both boys and girls. In 2011, he joined Kenya Medical Training Center in port Reitz to study Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery. After his graduation 3 years later he landed a job at Yeshua Medicare facility in Bamburi. Elliud is working Coast General Referral and Training Hospital Mombasa currently as a clinical officer
Sarah graduated 2019 as Baker.
Victoria is waiting to graduate as hair dresser.
Happy is working at Bamburi.

The children are well discipline and have been instilled Christian values of the Seventh day Adventist church, where Mama Susan has been a member for many years.

“We have a daily routine of doing our devotion early in the morning before we start our day and later in the evening before we go bed. Each one of us has to take part and it is a moment which we highly enjoy,”
Ms Charo who sat for her Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education examinations in year 2018, joined the home at six years old. This is the home that she identifies with and Mama Susan is like her mother. We get Medical services from a volunteer nurse who is a friend to Mrs. Ochwangi
